Jerusalem at Dawn depicts the buildings, windows and doorways of Jerusalem as it wakes up to the first morning light. This work juxtaposes the earthly Jerusalem with the celestial Jerusalem (Jerusalem of below and Jerusalem of above).
The quilt has won Best of Show in the Jerusalem exhibition of the Israeli Quilt Association in 2012.
The basis for the quilt is a one-patch grid. The quilt is made of suede-like hand-dyed fabrics, stenciled using oil paint-sticks and heavily quilted by machine.
