Amphora #1

This beautiful small piece combines my interest in the archaeological findings of the region and my favorite techniques: hand-dyed fabrics, transparent  images stenciled on the fabric, machine and hand quilting, beading and embroidery.

The color palette is typical to my work and combines shades of red and gold, accentuated by a touch of dark turquoise.
